Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant for the Graduate Museum Studies Program for Dr. Holly Cusack-McVeigh, I contributed to the development of academic resources and engaged in curriculum design for a graduate-level course.

My responsibilities and accomplishments included:
Curriculum Development: Assisted in designing and refining course materials to support the academic growth of graduate students, ensuring alignment with the program's objectives and standards.
Teaching Object Handling: Taught a dedicated section on object handling, emphasizing best practices for the safe and ethical care of museum objects.
Student Engagement: Played an active role in facilitating discussions, mentoring students, and fostering a dynamic learning environment.
Coauthoring a Publication: Collaborated on a publication for the Museum Studies Graduate Blog, focusing on repatriation in museums and emphasizing the importance of indigenous perspectives in the process.

This experience allowed me to deepen my understanding of academic instruction, sharpen my communication skills, and contribute meaningfully to the education of emerging museum professionals.
